Rust server setup guide

Install Oxide, configure wipes, and connect RCON on your Latency Host Rust server.

First login

After ordering, open Pterodactyl from your client area. Your server IP and port appear on the Network tab.

Install Oxide/uMod

  1. Stop the server from the Console tab.
  2. Open Startup and set the Rust branch to Oxide (or install Oxide from the egg variables).
  3. Start the server — Oxide loads automatically on boot.

Configure wipes

Edit server.cfg or use RCON:

server.seed 12345
server.worldsize 3500

Schedule wipes with Schedules in Pterodactyl — set cron expressions for weekly or bi-weekly map resets.

RCON access

Enable RCON in Startup variables. Connect with your favorite RCON tool using the IP, port, and password from the panel.
